How do I download my new Norton product?

Below are inactive screenshot examples to guide you through the download process.

STEP 1 - First, you must look up your order. Have your Order Number and Password available and click here to look up your order.

STEP 2 - Click the "Start Download" button only once to begin the download process.

STEP 3 - Install the Symantec Download Manager ActiveX control required to download your Norton product.

STEP 4 - Your download will automatically begin.

More Information:

  • If the download has not automatically started, click Download.
  • If the download is cancelled or interrupted, a download icon will be placed on your desktop so that you can resume the download later.
  • While the download is running, you can pause the download by clicking Stop Download. To continue, click Resume.
  • Once the download is complete, product installation starts automatically. If this does not occur, click the product installation icon on your desktop (this icon only appears after the download is complete)

STEP 5 - Download is complete.

When the download completes, an installer wizard for the software should automatically launch. This screen will prompt you to begin installation, click Install to start the installation process. Follow the instructions until the installation process is completed.

More Information:

  • If you have purchased more than one Norton Product for download, you will need to complete all of the steps above in sequence for each product.
  • After each completed product installation, a system reboot will occur. Once your computer restarts, click here to look up your order with your Order Number and Password. Begin again with Step 1 to download your next product.
  • If you have purchased a Multi-User Pack download, you must complete the download process on each computer to which the program is being installed.
