I received an error message while downloading.

  • If you receive "Message 59", the allotted time to download your product has expired.

    If you did not purchase the Extended Download Service at the time of your original order: All download products purchased through Symantec Store have a 60-day window in which you can complete a download. In the event the download file needs to be accessed after 60 days, you have the option of purchasing the Extended Download Service.

    If you are interested in purchasing this service for an existing order, you will need to log into our Customer Service webpage and enter either the order number & password or your email address & last five digits of the credit card number used when placing your order. Once you have found your order, scroll down near the bottom of that page and click on "Buy now" for the Extended Download Service.

    After you have completed the purchase of the Extended Download Service you will need to return to the Customer Service webpage and access your existing order. You will now be able to download the software by clicking on the "Begin Download" button.

    If you did purchase the Extended Download Service at the time of your original order: The reason you are not able to obtain a redownload of your purchase is that the Extended Download Service purchase with your download order has expired. This service allows you to redownload your order as many times as needed, but only for a period of 1 year. If you need additional licenses for your software they are available for purchase at the Symantec Store.


  • If you received "Message 12" or any other download error, please contact Customer Service.
